Resumen (abstract)
Un aspecto importante a considerar en la adquisición del significado léxico hace referencia a determinados sesgos de respuesta empleados por los sujetos en las tareas experimentales diseñadas para el estudio de los distintos términos lingüísticos. Uno de tales sesgos ha sido mencionado en el estudio de los adjetivos dimensionales, consistente en escoger los objetos de mayor extensión espacial cuando se examina el conocimiento de esos adjetivos. Sin embargo, los resultados obtenidos por la investigación no han logrado establecer con exactitud la realidad psicológica de este supuesto sesgo careciéndose, actualmente, de una respuesta definitiva. De este modo, el principal objetivo del presente trabajo consistió en una evaluación del mismo, teniendo en cuenta los diversos aspectos que podrían influir en él. Los resultados obtenidos sugieren que su presencia es menor de lo que se había supuesto, discutiéndose aquellos factores que podrían haber explicado su influencia en anteriores estudios.
An important aspect to consider in the acquisition of lexical meaning refers to certain response biases used by the subjects in the experimental tasks designed for the study of different linguistics terms. One of these biases has been mentioned in the study of dimensional adjectives, this consisting in choosing the objects of greatest space extension when the knowledge of these adjectives are examined. Nevertheless, the obtained results by the investigation have not managed to stablish exactly the psychological reality of this so-called bias lacking, at the present time, a definitive answer. Thus, the main aim of the present work consisted of an evaluation of itself, taking into account the diverse aspects that could influence it. The obtained results suggest that its presence is weaker than it had been supposed, discussing those factors that could have explained its influence on previous studies.
