Areas of interest: Complex Analysis, Functional Analysis, Geometric Function Theory, Operator Theory.

Specific topics of recent and/or present interest:

I got my Ph. D. degree in Mathematics in  "The Department of Mathematics of Washington University" (St. Louis, Mo, U.S.A) in 1985. The title of my thesis was  "Means of univalent functions" and  my thesis advisor  Albert Baernstein. I am also "Doctor en Ciencias (Sección Matemáticas)" for the University of Málaga.

I have directed two doctoral dissertations:

The "family relations" between Mathematicians can be found in  "The Mathematics Genealogy Project".

I am the main researcher or director of the following research projects or groups:

I am a member of  the Real Sociedad Matemática Española (RSME), the European Mathematical Society (EMS) and the  American Mathematical Society (AMS).
